On August 2, 1997 in Cotonou, a friend brought me the news from Lagos about the death of the Pan-Africanist musician artist and political activist Fela Anikulapo Kuti. 24 years later, on August 2, 2021, I received a phone call from big bro ‘Mabinuori Kayode Idowu, former manager and biographer of Fela.

The appointment is made for a meal with Nysymb Lascony and a rich evening around Nigeria, Pan-Africanism, jazz, travel, with in the background for nearly six hours the Movement of the People.
